Donkeys, due to their ethological characteristics and their symbolic value within our culture, offer the opportunity to experience a deep knowledge of oneself, to discovery one's emotions but also to develop trust in oneself and in the relationship with the 'other. This article is the English version of a previous Danish version, partly modified and enriched; it deal about how and for what reasons meaningful learning experiences are feasible in every life ages, starting from early childhood. Finally, it will focus on the effectiveness of experiences with donkeys in the training of trainers

Gli asini, per le loro caratteristiche etologiche e per la loro valenza simbolica all’interno della nostra cultura, offrono la possibilità di sperimentare percorsi di conoscenza profonda di sé, di scoperta delle proprie emozioni ma anche di fiducia in se stessi e nella relazione con l’altro. In questo articolo parlerò di come e per quali ragioni siano proponibili esperienze significative di apprendimento in tutte le età della vita, a partire dalla prima infanzia.
